Shadows
When you throw a ball the dog usually goes after it but not Nala! Nala will chase the shadow of the ball. Bell on the other hand will chase the ball and run with it. Nala likes to chase shadows! If theres a bird or a butterfly she will chase the shadow and try to catch it and eat it. They have such a different personality.

Nalas House
Ever since Nala was a baby she would go under tables and beds with stuff in her mouth acting like its her own little house. As she grew up she couldn't fit underthings anymore. After awhile she started to figure out how to get under this one piece of furniture. I call it her house! She has pillows, toys, and blankets. The best part about it, was she put all the supplies in her house her self without any help.

"Wanting attention"
This is the face of "Wanting attention". All a dog can ask for is to be loved. There is never a time to love on a dog too much!

Dog crap

Sleepy Head
This is when you know your dog is a princess. One morning I got up went to get some breakfast came back to my room to Nala in the covers laying on my pillow. She was so comfortable, She would not move. I ask her to get up, instead she would roll over on her back so I can rub her belly. She is too much of a princess!

Energy
Have you ever felt like your dog never runs out of energy? Well have you ever watched a dog run after a light? Its the funniest thing ever. I took a lazer pen and moved it around the house and Nala would chase it around. She was so confused and had no idea what it was. When I turned it off she would act like nothing happened. Bell on the other hand would run around the house thinking it was still there. After a while she will run out of energy and take a nap. Its a great way to get energy out of a dog.

Head Rest!
Aww her pillow! She always has to have something under her head. If its not a bear its a couch pillow if its not that its a sock or a shirt. It can be anything but hard. If its a remote control or a water bottle she will lay by it but never on it. The cutest part about her head rest is she will not leave it in one place it will travel around the house for a couple of days until she finds a new head rest. She will not sleep if she doesn’t have her head rest with her!

A dogs Personality
Have you ever wondered what a dog is thinking about? If the dog needs something? Or if the dog is sick or in pain? Its funny how much they can tell you by the way they act. If they want to go out they stand right by the door and wait, if there in pain there down and they have no life to them. This is why dogs have the best personalities ever. You always know what they want, when they want it. Every night when I get into bed Nala knows its time for bed so she jumps on the bed lays on my chest and wants me to rub her, if I stop she will take her paw and hit me with it telling me don't stop. If she doesn't hit me with her paw thats when I start to wonder if she's ok or if she's just asleep. She has such a cute personality, I know exactly what she's up to every time I see or hear her.

Pedigree
It’s that day again. I have to pick up some new dog food for my baby girls. As I walked into Petco, I had the bright idea that my babies deserved some new flavor in there life. I strutted down the aisles meticulously looking at the brands and the sales pitch each one has to offer. I came across a friendly looking brand with a very pleasing sales pitch which focusses on Skin and Coat, Oral Care, Digestion, and Immunity. I walked out of the store proud with my purchase of Pedigree dog food, being proud was not enough though I had to put it to the test. As I got home I was greeted by the usual slobber and wet kisses of two hungry girls ready to eat. I filled their bowls high and watched intently as their sniffers went wild. With hesitation they both started eating it and to my astonishment they began chowing down! Hands down this is one of the best decisions I have ever made not only do my girls love it, but it’s healthy for them too!

Nala's Ear
There was A horrible thing that happened yesterday. My heart instantaneously was beating faster than a bullet, and my stomach dropped. My baby girl Nala, my one and only, my little puppy, had blood coming out of her ear. As we looked inside her ear we saw blood and pus. My poor baby couldn’t stop itching it, she had no idea what was happening to her. We took her to the emergency vet and we soon got the prognosis and my fears subsided. My baby had a yeast infection in her ear. Recovery back to her healthy, cute self, is aided by ear drops and pills. My baby should be in good shape soon. I’m so happy my babies going to be alright, I love her so much I can’t even explain it!

Front Seat Passenger
The thieving bandit was at it again, but in a very different way. It started off like any other day. My brother and I were on our way to take my babies out for a hike. We all piled into the car and like normal my babies sat in the back while my brother sat in the front seat. We went for our hike and when we got back to the car my baby gave us all a surprise. Nala jumped in the front seat and that look on her face said, “I’m not moving.” Since that day everyone that gets in the car has to sit in the back seat while my princess rides up front. Ain’t she precious?

It wasn’t me!
Since Nala was a little puppy she has always been my little thief. Stealing anything she could find just to get that attention she desperately longed for. She went for everything from trash to clothes; she is my little angel. Sometimes though she gets the best of me. The other day I caught my precious baby trying to chow down on candy that I left in my closet. With her whole face in the bag she had no way of knowing she was being watched. I watched intently hoping she would see me and think twice about eating the candy. As soon as she began opening her first bag of skittles she looked up at me as a I gave her a “your in trouble” face. To my disbelief she stuck her head back in the bag. I couldn’t believe it I went over there and took the bag away lightning fast. Someone didn’t get any love for the rest of the night, until she got in bed of course. Shes my princess, what else was I to do?

Hide and seek anyone?
I hear it all time, but it wasn’t till recently that I believed it. Dogs truly have a personality of their own. Nala is my little baby, and has no doubt a personality of a princess. She needs to be pampered every moment of everyday. Along with this its her way or the highway. My other baby girl in my life is Belle, although her size might make her intimidating she is just a huge ball of love. There’s one thing both my babies have in common. They both love to play hide and seek. Games can go on for a long time. I always give it my best shot. The only bad thing is it seems like they always win!
Love at first sight
It’s a rare thing seeing a guinea pig and golden retriever become friends. It was a match made in heaven and I was able to witness every moment of it. My two baby girls became friends with her. There was an unbreakable bond that will surely never be forgotten. From my baby girls helping the pig exercise to giving her a bath, their friendship will never end. Now and forever, even when my precious pig went to a better place, their relationship will never fail. One of my favorite moments was when the dogs would watch her drink from their water bowls. They wouldn’t do anything about it, they just liked watching her drink from it. It was adorable in every way. I love them all so much!

About Me!
My name is Monica, and I am a senior in High School. I can still remember the first time I was introduced to the world, out of my Mom’s tummy and into the light. When my little eyes opened I saw the most beautiful thing in the world. I didn’t know what it was at first, but this thing is forever seared in my memories for all eternity. It was my first dog! The most loving being I have ever met, perfect in everyway. Ever since then I have always had a dog in my life. I could never imagine my life any differently. They put smiles on my face everyday with their unconditional love. I don’t know where I would be in life without dogs. From Greyhounds to Golden Retrievers I have experienced both the sunny and rainy days of owning a pet from coming home to a trash ridden house to nightly cuddling with someone that hogs the entire bed. Although there may be times where they take me over the edge, I would not change one bit of my life. Dogs changed my life and they can change yours too. Let your walls down and make the best decision of your life today. There’s a reason they’re called man’s best friend.
